Band camp is just around the corner. The attached document summarizes the pertinent information parents and band members will need to get ready for our week in beautiful Bemidji.
The purposes of band camp for band members include:
Learning your sets, teaching you the location(s) where you will be on the field througout the show.
Further perfecting your show music and guard choreography.
Putting together your sets with your show music and guard choreography to create the entire show.
Getting to know your fellow marching band members and staff better.
Total immersion is the most effective way to accomplish these goals.
The date for the July band booster meeting has changed from July 15 to THURSDAY JULY 22. The change is being made because regular rehearsals don't start up again until Mini Camp on July 19, so this gives you a few more vacation opportunities.

Congratulations to all the groups who competed!
Winter Music of the Knight 2010 is history. Thanks to all the color guard and winter drumline groups who came to Irondale and competed at our show.

The Irondale Marching Knights present their 2009 production, Power and Grace, with music arranged specifically for marching band by Frank Sullivan. The power of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite integrated with the grace of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake makes for a very intriguing arrangement on the field.
The interweaving of these two classic pieces will unfold throughout the program. By the use of color, staging and drill, both intensity and beauty will be apparent and the mixing of the two tunes will add a new and interesting dimension to these most familiar pieces.

Sponsorship Campaign

The student members of the Irondale Marching Knights have raised funds over the past few years to purchase a semi trailer to move our equipment to parades and field show competitions.
We're proud to report that no school district funds were used for the purchase of the trailer.
The trailer is a powerful visual symbol of the band, and an exciting new opportunity to showcase your sponsorship.
